The fourth quarter of 2024 saw interesting trends in the performance of the top Travel and Local apps on the Android platform in Ireland. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps showed varying patterns in downloads and active user engagement.

Freenow by Lyft - taxi & more demonstrated a noticeable growth in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 3.4K in the week of December 23. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, with a significant increase to about 121K in early December, before settling at around 85K by the end of the quarter.

Ryanair maintained a steady presence in the market, with weekly downloads ranging between 2.1K and 3.5K. Active users saw a consistent rise, ending the quarter with nearly 186K users, marking a significant increase from earlier in the quarter.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel experienced a stable download rate, with figures hovering around 2.8K towards the end of December. The app's active user base grew significantly, reaching approximately 189K by the quarter's close.

Aer Lingus App saw weekly downloads fluctuate, starting at about 2.7K and finishing with a slight decrease to around 2.4K. However, active users displayed a positive trend, ending the year with about 68K users.

Circle K Ireland showed a decrease in downloads, dropping to around 1.1K by the end of December. Despite this, their active user count increased to approximately 23K.
